The ceremony to present the 2025 annual report on the activities of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) was held on Monday, February 24, 2026, at the headquarters of the General Confederation of Enterprises of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire (CGECI), in the presence of the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts; the Minister of Women, Family, and Children, Nass\u00e9n\u00e9ba TOUR\u00c9; and the Vice President of the Senate, Silu\u00e9 Kagnon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the OGP Focal Point for C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Minister Kalil KONAT\u00c9 commended the progress made by C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire since joining this initiative in October 2015. Among its achievements are five National Action Plans covering the period 2016\u20132026, four self-assessment reports prepared between 2018 and 2024, the expansion of OGP\u2019s scope of action with the Ouell\u00e9 municipality\u2019s accession to the Open Local Government initiative, and many other notable results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the year 2025, activities focused on three strategic areas: outreach and awareness-raising regarding OGP and the 2024\u20132026 National Action Plan (NAP5), monitoring its implementation, and active participation in statutory meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe results of the implementation of the OGP 2025 activities are positive. In fact, 95% of the activities outlined in the OGP 2025 matrix have been completed. This is a satisfactory result that reflects the efforts and daily monitoring work carried out by all OGP stakeholders,\u201d stated the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts, urging stakeholders to continue their efforts in a spirit of collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He congratulated the OGP C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire Technical Committee on this work and noted that 2026 is a pivotal year, marked by the preparation of the end-of-implementation self-assessment report for the 5th National Action Plan and the drafting of the 6th National Action Plan, which will cover the period 2026\u20132028, both of which must be finalized before the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chair of the OGP C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire Technical Committee, Ms. Chantal Angoua, reiterated the initiative\u2019s five founding principles and expressed the committee\u2019s gratitude to all stakeholders, particularly the former Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, for his insightful guidance and constant support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
