As part of the Conference of Heads of Intellectual Property Offices of the OAPI Region (HIPOC), held on June 4 and 5, 2026, in Abidjan, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Daren Tang, arrived in C\u00f4te d’Ivoire on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. This high-level visit reflects the importance given to C\u00f4te d’Ivoire within international intellectual property bodies and testifies to the country’s growing leadership in this strategic field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his visit, Mr. Daren Tang will meet with several high-ranking Ivorian officials, including Ti\u00e9moko Meyliet Kon\u00e9, Vice-President of the Republic; Robert Beugr\u00e9 Mamb\u00e9, Prime Minister; Kalil Konat\u00e9, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts; and other government authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These meetings will strengthen the dialogue on the role of intellectual property in promoting innovation, business competitiveness, the valuation of creative works, and the acceleration of economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
