The checks revealed discrepancies between the observed weights and the regulatory weights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For baguettes sold at 200 FCFA, ten samples weighed between 1.4 and 1.7 kg in total, compared to the expected 2.3 kg. For those sold at 150 FCFA, several samples weighed between 1.3 and 1.4 kg, whereas the expected weight was 1.7 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Central Bank of Cameroon (BCR) also reiterated that displaying prices and weights is mandatory. Thus, a baguette sold at 200 FCFA must weigh 232 grams, while one at 150 FCFA must weigh 174 grams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the inspection, seizures were carried out and penalties are planned.
