The first person to hold this position was Tidiane DEM on 15 February 1963.<\/p><p>In certain contexts, the Ministry of Animal Production was merged into larger ministerial groups such as the Ministry of Rural Development (MDR) in 1983 and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRA) in 1990.
