The ceremony to present the 2025 annual report on the activities of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) was held on Monday, February 24, 2026, at the headquarters of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), in the presence of the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts; the Minister of Women, Family, and Children, Nassénéba TOURÉ; and the Vice President of the Senate, Silué Kagnon.
As the OGP Focal Point for Côte d’Ivoire, Minister Kalil KONATÉ commended the progress made by Côte d’Ivoire since joining this initiative in October 2015. Among its achievements are five National Action Plans covering the period 2016–2026, four self-assessment reports prepared between 2018 and 2024, the expansion of OGP’s scope of action with the Ouellé municipality’s accession to the Open Local Government initiative, and many other notable results.
For the year 2025, activities focused on three strategic areas: outreach and awareness-raising regarding OGP and the 2024–2026 National Action Plan (NAP5), monitoring its implementation, and active participation in statutory meetings.
“The results of the implementation of the OGP 2025 activities are positive. In fact, 95% of the activities outlined in the OGP 2025 matrix have been completed. This is a satisfactory result that reflects the efforts and daily monitoring work carried out by all OGP stakeholders,” stated the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts, urging stakeholders to continue their efforts in a spirit of collaboration.
He congratulated the OGP Côte d’Ivoire Technical Committee on this work and noted that 2026 is a pivotal year, marked by the preparation of the end-of-implementation self-assessment report for the 5th National Action Plan and the drafting of the 6th National Action Plan, which will cover the period 2026–2028, both of which must be finalized before the end of the year.
The chair of the OGP Côte d’Ivoire Technical Committee, Ms. Chantal Angoua, reiterated the initiative’s five founding principles and expressed the committee’s gratitude to all stakeholders, particularly the former Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, for his insightful guidance and constant support.
The closing ceremony was attended by representatives of institutions, technical and financial partners—including the French Development Agency (AFD), Expertises France, and officials from the Francophone Open Government Support Project (PAGOF)—as well as members of the Ivorian civil society platform for the OGP.
