Abidjan, April 21, 2026 – The French-Ivorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFCI) intends to strengthen its position in Côte d’Ivoire under the leadership of its new president, Dominique Malezieux, who took office in October.

Accompanied by Koné Sahifoulaye, board member, and Nicolas Houard, CCIFCI vice-president and CEO of SOGENA, the president presented his ten-year strategic vision to the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts. The working visit between the French and Ivorian representatives highlighted the desire to strengthen synergies between French and Ivorian companies, facilitate their respective establishment, and boost economic exchanges between the two countries.

At the heart of this ambition are the organization of job fairs, tax and customs support for businesses, and the promotion of initiatives contributing to Côte d’Ivoire’s food sovereignty.

This meeting also provided an opportunity to extend an official invitation to the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts, Kalil Konaté, to participate in an upcoming meeting with French companies established in Côte d’Ivoire. This event will bring together nearly 400 member companies of the France-Côte d’Ivoire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, offering a valuable forum for discussions on future prospects and opportunities for collaboration between economic stakeholders in both countries.

Minister Kalil Konaté welcomed this initiative and reaffirmed his department’s commitment to supporting economic actors in order to foster economic transformation, the cornerstone of the trade and industrial development policy envisioned by President Alassane Ouattara.

He welcomed the initiative of the French trade and industry network and highlighted his ministry’s commitment to entrepreneurs to promote investment in Ivory Coast.
