As part of the celebration of Open Government Week 2026, the OGP Technical Committee of Côte d’Ivoire (CT-OGP) organized important public consultations in Abidjan on May 18 and 19, 2026, bringing together all stakeholders involved in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) process.

Chaired by Ms. Angoua Chantal, Chair of the OGP Technical Committee of Côte d’Ivoire, these consultations reflect the ongoing commitment to strengthening the principles of transparency, citizen participation, public accountability, and innovation in governance—essential pillars of a modern and inclusive administration.

The main objective of these consultations was to gather proposals, contributions, and innovative solutions from institutional actors, civil society, the private sector, and technical partners for the development of Côte d’Ivoire’s sixth National Action Plan (NAP 2026-2028).

During these two days of discussions, participants took part in several brainstorming sessions focusing on topics such as access to public information, transparency in public management, strengthening citizen participation, and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the commitments made by the State within the framework of the Public Governance Policy (PGP).

Through this initiative, Côte d’Ivoire reaffirms its commitment to consolidating open, participatory, and accountable governance by fully involving citizens and all stakeholders in the co-creation of public policies for sustainable and inclusive development.
