The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts made its mark on the sporting activities of the 6th National Public Service Days, held this Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the National Institute of Youth and Sports.
Under the theme “Together, let’s build a citizen-friendly public service,” this edition, officially opened on Thursday, May 21, 2026, by the Minister of State, Ms. Anne Désirée Ouloto-Laminazana, highlights the values of cohesion, solidarity, and community spirit within the public administration. Before the start of the competitions, the various teams participated in a fitness session in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.
Heavily involved in several disciplines, including maracana, Scrabble, and checkers, the MCIA (Ministry of Agriculture and International Development) particularly distinguished itself in men’s football. In its first match, the Ministry’s team secured a decisive victory against the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources with a score of 2-0, thanks to goals from Ouattara Ismaël, from the Asset Management Department, and Sylla Moctar, from the Information Systems Department.
Despite a narrow defeat against the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (1-0) in the second match, the MCIA representatives demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, great fighting spirit, and remarkable cohesion.
To close out this first day of competition, MCIA returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over the Ministry of Economy and Finance, thanks to a goal by Kouakou Adingra Franck of the Abidjan South 2 Regional Directorate. At the end of the day, the results are overwhelmingly positive for the MCIA team, whose mobilization, discipline, and team spirit were unanimously praised. Attention now turns to the return matches scheduled for next week at the INJS, with the same determination to proudly represent the Ministry.
