The training workshop on managing economic litigation, organized for the control agents of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts, concluded on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Abidjan. Initiated by the Human Resources Directorate, through the Sub-Directorate of Training and Capacity Building, this session was held from June 11 to 12, 2026, in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire, located in the Plateau district.
As part of the 2026 Training Plan, approved by the Ministerial Training Commission, this activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of enforcement officers in managing economic disputes, with a view to improving the effectiveness of market surveillance missions and economic investigations.
Over two days, more than one hundred officers, including Administrators, Inspectors, and Controllers, received training in the practices and procedures related to economic disputes. The various presentations focused on mastering the rules governing the prosecution of violations of trade regulations, strengthening control techniques, and procedures for recovering financial penalties.
The training was conducted through presentations, exchanges of experiences, and practical exercises, allowing participants to consolidate their knowledge and better understand the realities on the ground.
The closing ceremony was marked by the presentation of certificates to the participants, thus successfully completing this capacity-building session. Speaking on behalf of the Director of Human Resources, Ms. Alphonse Raïssa KRA, Mr. Kouassi Koffi Sianou, Deputy Director of Social Action and Gender Policy, congratulated the participants on their diligence and interest in the training. He also urged them to share the knowledge acquired within their respective departments to promote its wider adoption.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts reaffirms its commitment to the continuous capacity building of its staff, with a view to more effective application of trade regulations and optimal management of economic disputes.
