In accordance with Decree No. 2022-601 of August 3, 2022, concerning the organization of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and SME Promotion,

1. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade is responsible for identifying and implementing actions and measures stemming from the national policy on foreign trade and e-commerce. It develops and implements the program for the development and promotion of foreign trade with a view to improving the trade balance. It coordinates regional, sub-regional, bilateral, and multilateral trade negotiations related to agreements and oversees their implementation. It safeguards Côte d’Ivoire’s international trade interests.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade comprises five Central Directorates:

• The Directorate of International and Regional Cooperation ; 
• The Directorate of Foreign Trade Promotion and Operational Assistance
• The Directorate of Trade Regulation
• The Directorate of Marketing and Organization of Commodities
• The Directorate of Electronic Commerce

The Central Directorates are headed by Directors appointed by decree issued by the Council of Ministers. They hold the rank of Director of Central Administration.

2. The Directorate General for Industry is responsible for developing and implementing the actions and measures of the national industrial development policy in conjunction with the relevant departments and for monitoring their implementation.

The Directorate General for Industry comprises five Central Directorates:

• The Directorate for Industrial Investment Support and Monitoring
• The Directorate for Industrial Infrastructure and Safety
• The Directorate for Industrial Promotion and Competitiveness
• The Directorate for Quality Promotion and Standardization
• The Directorate for Technological Innovation and Industrial Cooperation

The Central Directorates are headed by Directors appointed by decree issued by the Council of Ministers. They hold the rank of Director of Central Administration.

3. The Directorate General for the Promotion of SMEs and Crafts is responsible for developing and implementing the national policy for the promotion of SMEs and crafts and for monitoring its implementation.

The Directorate General for the Promotion of SMEs and Crafts comprises four Central Directorates:

• The Directorate for SME Assistance and Development
• The Directorate for Entrepreneurial Innovation and Startup Promotion
• The Directorate for the Support of Craft Promotion and Mutualism
• The Directorate for Craft Infrastructure and Sites

The Central Directorates are headed by Directors appointed by decree issued by the Council of Ministers. They hold the rank of Director of Central Administration.

4. The Directorate General for Domestic Trade is responsible for identifying and implementing actions and measures stemming from the Government’s policy on domestic trade, competition, combating the high cost of living, combating fraud, metrology, compliance with standards and quality control of products placed on the market, and promoting national entrepreneurship in commercial activities and commercial infrastructure.

The Directorate General of Domestic Trade comprises three Central Directorates:

• The Directorate of Competition, Consumer Affairs, and the Fight Against the High Cost of Living
• The Directorate of Metrology, Fraud Prevention, and Quality Control
• The Directorate of Integration and Promotion of Commercial Activities

The Central Directorates are headed by Directors appointed by decree issued by the Council of Ministers. They hold the rank of Director of Central Administration.
