By presidential decree dated January 23, 2025, Mr. Ibrahim Kalil KONATÉ was appointed Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts in the new government led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This appointment reflects the commitment of the highest state authorities to strengthen the momentum of economic transformation and the competitiveness of the national productive sector.
An engineer by training and a recognized technocrat, Ibrahim Kalil KONATÉ has extensive experience in strategic areas related to economic development, industrialization, and the modernization of public administration. Before his appointment as head of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts, he held important government positions, notably in charge of Digital Transition and Digitalization, where he distinguished himself through his commitment to innovation and the performance of public services.
At the helm of this key ministry, Minister Ibrahim Kalil Konaté will be tasked with consolidating ongoing reforms, promoting fair and competitive trade, supporting industrial development, and enhancing the handicrafts sector, a true driver of job and wealth creation.
