The Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts, Kalil Konaté, conducted a field visit on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to the Adzopé Special Economic Zone (SEZ) site, accompanied by several administrative, traditional, and municipal authorities, including Ms. Yolande Achi, Mayor of Adzopé.

This mission allowed for an assessment of the progress of the work, particularly the energy infrastructure being built by CI-Énergies, and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to making industrialization a powerful driver of economic growth, sustainable job creation, and structural transformation of the national economy.

Spanning 432 hectares, the future Adzopé Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is expected to attract nearly 225 billion CFA francs in investment and generate approximately 51,000 jobs, thus contributing to the local processing of raw materials, strengthening the industrial base, and fostering the economic development of the Mé region.

Through this structuring project, the Government is continuing to implement President Alassane Ouattara’s vision of inclusive, competitive, and wealth-creating industrialization across the entire country.
