Abidjan, February 10, 2026 – As part of assuming his duties, the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Handicrafts, Ibrahim Kalil Konaté, is continuing his series of meetings with the departments and agencies under his ministry’s supervision. This working session, held on Tuesday, February 10, is part of the momentum initiated since his appointment last January and aims to establish a direct, ongoing, and constructive dialogue with all key stakeholders in the sector.
Led by the Director General of Foreign Trade, the Minister met successively with the Single Window for Foreign Trade, the National Export Council, Côte d’Ivoire Export, and the Executive Secretary of the AfCFTA. Discussions continued with several industrial organizations, led by the Director General of Industry, including the Ivorian Tropical Technology Company, the Technology Demonstration and Promotion Center, Côte d’Ivoire Engineering, the National Committee for the Fight Against Counterfeiting, and the Ivorian Intellectual Property Office (OIPI).
On this occasion, Minister Ibrahim Kalil Konaté urged all officials to increase their commitment to government priorities, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara. He called on them to produce concrete and measurable results that will sustainably improve the living conditions of the population.
Emphasizing the strategic importance of industrialization, the Minister particularly stressed the local processing of agricultural products, a key driver of added value, job creation, and the competitiveness of the national economy. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the supervised entities in the effective implementation of their missions, in a spirit of synergy, performance, and accountability.
